It gets me when people say tattoos hurt. The truth is they dont hurt, in fact i fell asleep whilst getting a tattoo (3 hours plus) and the recovery? What recovery? The only bad thing is dont go swimming

Do people think tattoos hurt or not?

You tel us.. when that dude told you his tattoo hurt, did he have his hand on your leg, giving it a tug?

If not, then i guess he wasnt pulling your leg.

When i was at schoolies.. i got a henna tattoo.
Didnt hurt at all. They just sprayed it on.
The part that DID hurt was trying to scrub it off a week later before i went back to work!

Real tattoos tho, i dont know. I'd imagine they would considering its a needle..

Plenty of real estate on these arms. 3 hours plus and at first its a little uncomfortable but completely bareable.

Before long 10 mins i fell asleep, rather relaxing to be honest.

I believe it depends on where the tattoo is going...
Try getting one on the back of your neck ... have u still got a neck with all those muscles?

Neck wont hurt. seriously go get one. it just isnt that bad.

I got mine done on my Forearm and to b honest it didn't hurt at all! Only took bout 45 mins to do and felt no pain

Upper arm is nothing. Anywhere along the rib cage will test anyones pain tolerance and one on ur ass ur guaranteed to feel every last tickling mill. Oh, and of cause there are genital tatts, but not many guys are game to go there.

I have 2 on the inside of my upper arm near the arm pit, it kinda hurt there try pinch yourself there

Today tattoos are like assholes.

However, I'd get a tattoo if someone close to me had some sort of tragedy.

The rest I see around is just dumb ass patterns that you think look gangsta (or whatever the retard word is). I look at most of the people with tattoos and think - uneducated, probably unemployed, left school at year 10 or worse, working class, housing commission, destined to be in the same job forever........ These are just my thoughts. And the thoughts of most in my age group (old).

For what reason do you get tattoos? Alcohol/drugs; seemed like a good idea at the time; in memory of a loved one (that IS a good reason to get one I think); my dumbass mates have one and I have to fit in (but I think it makes me an individual!! lol) to be cool/accepted; my "heritage"; I like carving up my body; bikie; I wear a baseball cap; my profession; in the armed forces so HAVE to get one?

The giant colourful messes that I see on people's arms makes me think, what were you trying to achieve here, cause I have nfi. Which is fine as maybe it means something to them. If that's the case why not keep it that way, ie hidden. if it's out in the open you have to believe people wil look and think, "what is that"??!! Why not something on your inner forearm or out of sight? As to one's that protrude onto your neck, or on your neck, well, to me that is just a freak show!
