Hey all,

This might sound stupid but i like the wheels that come standard on the 06 sti's so i dont want to really change them but it would be nice if they sat a little more aggressive...

so what are your opinions on wheel spacers?
good?bad? ive read around that they are not very good and they tend to place alot of strain on your hubs and wheel bearings etc.. how bad is the effect?

thanks!

They add a lot of load on your wheel studs also. I'm pretty sure they're illegal

Very illegal on the road.

Have a look on NASIOC, the yanks are right into it. I'm happy to use 5mm with studs to suit, but wouldn't feel safe with anything bigger. A stripped subaru hub does not look very strong to start with, wouldn't want to over stress them!

They are illegal, but more people than you think use them, lots of the 4wd's with big rubber are using spacers...but they are unlikely to be subject to the load caused by speed & cornering that a performance car will produce

Not only illegal I reckon if an insurance company discovered them they would void insurance payouts
