I have rear speakers... On my bug eye but I assume it's the same thing right...
What's the problem?

Hey flip how big is your sub amp?
I have a spare 12" box and thinking of changing my sub to something higher watts if u interested.
The sub is a dual voice coil kenwood 1200 watts oversized 13" but fits in the 12" hole.

I have 6.5 inch splits there.. Didn't cut anything but it is tricky tight fit.. Really depends on speaker size and ingenuity...
If u live nearby you're welcome to check it out.

Do your 6x9s pull the bass back to make it feel like there's no bass up front?
Would love to listen to it to hear the difference.
Maybe at the cruise if u going.

I don't really notice it too much cos I have the bass turned down on the speakers due to having the sub, I only really want the treble coming through them but when I do try to turn it up and put some
bass through it I generally fade it to thefront speakers to prevent that happening. I may get to te cruise if my soccer gets called of so I'm praying for rain all week and stop on sat night haha but if not I may still drive down and meet you guys at Kiama

I bought all my stuff from Jaycar, except the head unit, best decision I ever made.

Response System all up cost me around $1015, bar all the wiring. They gave me the 4+ price too, saved over $300 :)
Front: 6.5" splits
Rear: 4" 2 way
4ch Amp: 760wRMS
12" Sub
1000w Mono Amp

Head Unit: Alpine CDA 9886. Got this 30% off at JB, man I love sales.

I took a mate who is a musician with me to test some speakers out and we both agreed the Response splits were better than anything up to $400 at other shops, they cost $250 normally but I got them at $200. The system goes really loud with no distortion, so I'm very happy. All up with wiring this would of cost about $1600. Really happy with it and response is such a great product for the price.

I'm running :
4x (front and rear) 6" alpine S series speakers running off a,
Alpine CDA9886i head deck,
Alpine Amp 400w(600w? not sure) 4ch, (bridged) running a,
12" kicker sub (400w or 800w RMS, not sure its good tho :D) in the boot.

This system sounds awesome all the time, crystal clear when listening to CD quality audio. Thinking of getting an imprint EQ to just tweak it that bit further :>
It was a bitch getting the speakers in the parcel shelf but me and my dad got it eventually and later on i installed the covers on them by using super glue and Velcro tape XD XD wooo Damo's Kustums, lol

Proposed Stereo setup, will be something very similar to this:

Source: Alpine CDA-9835
Processing: Audison BitOne.1
Front Speakers: Crescendo Opus 9.9, which consists of
MB-6 6.9" midbass driver
MB-3 3.6" midrange driver
T3R 1.1" tweeter
Subwoofer: Boston G512-44
Amps:
Left CH:
1x Genesis Profile Ultra Two (Bridged to left Midbass for ~225wrms @ 8 ohms)
1x Genesis Profile Ultra Four (Bridged to left Midrange for ~150wmrs @ 8 ohms and left Tweeter for ~225wrms @ 6 ohms)
Right CH:
1x Genesis Profile Ultra Two (Bridged to left Midbass for ~225wrms @ 8 ohms)
1x Genesis Profile Ultra Four (Bridged to left Midrange for ~150wmrs @ 8 ohms and left Tweeter for ~225wrms @ 6 ohms)
Sub:
1x Genesis Profile Ultra One (1000wrms @ 2 ohms)
Sound Dampening: Dynamat, Dynapad, Dynaliner, Dynazorb
Cabling And Accessories: Stinger HPM Level 3 interconnects, Stinger HPM accessories/distros/fuseholders/etc, Stinger HPM 0ga and 4ga power and ground throughout.
Other: Setup up and run fully active, door mounted midbass, custom fibreglass kick panel mounted midrange, custom fibreglass A-pillar mounted tweeters, crazy engine bay wiring setup including earth kit and custom fuseholder mounting and what not. The boot is still undecided, but initial idea is going to be custom fibreglass 1.75cu/ft subbox, custom amp rack/bath in the boot for the 5x amps.

Facts and figures:
13 channels total, bridged down to 7 channels.
Total Power in WRMS of all 5 amps @ 4 ohms: 1950wrms
Total Power in WRMS of all 5 amps @ 2 ohms: 3100wrms
Total Power in WRMS @ 4 ohms bridged for front stage amps only: 2100wrms
Total Power in WRMS usable for front stage (due to impedance variances): 1200wrms
Total Power in WRMS usable for sub @ 2 ohms: 1000wrms
Total Power in WRMS usable for completed system: 2200wrms

Pics of some of the gear, pre-installation:
http://www.formaudio.com/gallery/132-crescendo-opus-99
http://www.formaudio.com/gallery/121-ge ... -sub-ultra

Installation is a slow work in progress, but my motto is 'perfection takes time'...

Any questions?

:)
