Depends a lot on what you're after I reckon.
Low mid high end power?
Budget?
What other mods you have or will have.
Most common one is a vf series turbo.

Yeah, agree, on the vf series mate, simple mods that iv done already are the silicon intake the sti intercooler, a ecutek tuned by pulse all i need is the turbo, then injectors and a bigger fuel pump i guess. looking for about 200-220 atw already has a healthy 180 on a stock engine so im happy for now lol!!

VF34 P18/P20 will get you to the 200 mark then.
3" to 2.5" tbe (assuming you have some sort of TBE), fuel pump..
I dont think you will come close to 220 tho..

What turbo have you got now for your 180kw, to get 200 or a there about might come down to dyno on the day.

If you have a standard 05 turbo, I cant see that thing getting any where near 180kw.

That's not going to get you any further power gains, maybe you will sustain your power levels in hot weather but no extra oomph

pulse dyno?

in regards to turbo, check out the vf34s (new) going for fairly cheap.

i went for a gtpump 18g 7cm, but if i had to do it again, ill either go a vf34/p20 or the new bbk 20g.

18g is nice, but quite laggy. might spool slightly quicker with billet wheel, but i didnt go for billet. i netted 198kw atw with full boost (20psi) around 4.1k rpm.
