Titanium wheel nuts, ricing them up

I brought a set of Travers(22 titanium wheel nuts) then riced them up with 260 deg oven and then i hit them with a butane torch i have to get to about 400-550 deg to get different colours(colour's of rice).

started life as

then heated to get purrrity colours.

test drilled 1 on the drill press at work to use longer wheel studs(i will do them on the Lethe to get better center next week)

Or leave they with solid heads?

I think they look better with the solid heads. In saying that they might have better contrast with a stud sticking through.

If you can get by without drilling them I'd leave as is as they look awesome.
