Hi guys :)

With any car there is a limit to how wide a tire you can go before you start to have a negative effect on your handling.
Obviously increasing your contact patch is a bonus but how big is best?

Thanks Rexnutters

Other thing you got to worry about is how big your car can fit..
235's are the biggest my car will fit before it scrapes while turning..
I got 235/40/18

Charge speed make bodykits allowing a GD to go upto 265's and it's not that expensive.
I'm thinking 235 myself however I was wondering if anyone had noticed any problems with 245 or even 255.
Running a WRX and not a STi has a unforescene downside. Here in QLD we can legally only run tires 15mm taller diameter then stock and with my model coming on 215/45/17 that makes 235/40/18 a defect :(
So looks like I'm importing 235/35/18 or going forking out for 245's and some fender rolling.

Zash, from memory was running 245 or 255 on his Advan RS's on this pignose STi, lowered on RCE Yellows.

235 is the width
40 is thickness
18 is diameter

Legally can go up 2 sizes from stock on diameter so u can get 19's.
235/40 would be legal surely..
