Has anyone ever taken their subie to an actual service center ? If so, would you recommend going to them for engine diagnostics? What were their prices like?

I'm thinking of taking my car to Denlo Subaru to try and resolve some issues.

Thanks

:>

Thanks madmouse :P

there is a leak on the cylinder head (driver side) i can smell burning oil and can see smoke, as it is dripping onto exhaust. And I am getting really bad fuel consumption as its running too rich, the only modifications i have is the 3'' turbo back exhaust and a manual boost controller set to 13-14psi, surely that cant make my car run too rich. The fuel consumption has only recently gone bad :< 60-70km for 1/4 tank of fuel, i was getting around 100-110km. :< :< poor subie, Mind you it has been sitting for a while, as i had some paint work done recently. so I can understand and accept things can go wrong.

A leak on the cylinder head would indicate head gasket, wouldnt it?

Engine out time?

I wouldn't take it to Subaru. Some have no idea what they're doing.
I got charged $150 for then to 'try' fit a sandwich plate. On the invoice it said they had to remove the alternator to determine the sandwich plate wouldn't fit. Was rather odd.
I did question it and got a full refund, but yeh :/
