Its been a while since i've pulled out a GC8 HU, but from memory, its something very similar to this:

1. Lift centre console lid and remove the two screws from the piece that covers the hand brake and gear boot. From there, lift it out starting from the centre console and moving forward, its all clipped into place.

2. Once thats out, below the ash tray there are two screws that hold the front fascia in place (i think, i could be wrong). You'll know if theyre screwed to it or not. If they are, undo those.

3. The fascia is clipped into place up the top near the air con vents, be careful not to break those clips. Start unclipping from the bottom of the fascia (where the ash tray is) and slowly work your way up the sides. Be careful not to bend the fascia too much or you'll snap the clips up the top near the air con vents.

4. Once the sides are unclipped, then pull it forward evenly and level, to undo the air con clips.

Its a pretty rough guide, but should be pretty close.

Hope that helps. :)
