Last night i took a night off the gym for a birthday and went to pancakes on the rocks. i looked around and boy there was some big units in there. im not talking about big units you see in the gym either. it was a wet wednesday night and it was packed full of people chomping down pancakes.

Then as i finished my meal a group of women came in, about 10 of them all bigger than the next. some big units. i said to a mate, they dont look like they need a meal. but the franchisee when he saw em come in must have known he would hit budget for the year and called in some emergency cooks.

What is it with people, do they just dont care how they look?

I was appauled at how those big units just have no care at all about how they look, just blobs, yeah gimme more cream and cheese and fat.

Then they go home and curse the good looking people on tv, wondering how it can be possible they look like that.

when i lived in amsterdam they have restaurants everywhere that do pancakes. savory ones were the most popular. even after all the years i lived there i never could see it as a proper meal. was a nice snack but thats about it

More of a desert, I like going to Liverpool kk's coz you can punch down 14 cheeseburgers & drive up to krispy cremes & smash a box of doughnuts afterwards.

I'm listed as obese, not short & fat, more like the wrestler "the big show" (i can lift the same if not more than bodybuilders in stock standard form) tried diets etc, just never feel full. I'm used to it now & places are now looking after us, there's more handrails around, bench seats, disabled shitters..etc

You little buggers are becoming the minority (along with caucasion Aussies in sydneys outer suburbs) lol

They serve other stuff too.

The big units have a pizza, garlic bread, nachos and finish it off with 4 pancakes with ice cream and blubber.

I had a chicken caesar salad and a pancake. The beach will forgive me but not the many behemoth that was in there

Havent been to Pancakes at the Rocks for 20 years. They have pizzas and salads etc now?

My fave used to be the Russian Blintz. It had rum soaked sultanas (I think), and was yummy.

I'm going to the States soon and my mate said I have to go to IHOP. International House of Pancakes. Can you imagine the giants that'll be in there (me included)? :)

Mmm, I'm going to buy a bottle of golden syrup at lunch time, you pour it into coke zero, awesome taste, also mars bars dipped in coke go good

I think Capt. Coupe and I should have a pancake eating contest. lol.

Golden syrup and coke. Serious? Just a super sweet drink or does it change somewhat when it hits the coke?
