Hello Youngens,
In a few months time I will be looking for a car of my own (finally). Most probably I'll go car-hunting after my school certificate is finished. Ive narrowed it down to two cars 8-)

Silvia S13 (SR20DE, not CA18!)
Basic Plans:
- Drift-Spec
- Hellaflush
- Deepdish Wheels
- Full Low

Skyline R32 (RB25DE, again, not RB20, SR20, etc)
Basic Plans:
- Track-Spec
- GTR/Nismo Goodies
- Rays TE037's, or even LMGT4s :pray:
- Semi-low
- Brides
- R33 GTST Brakes

Both cars car priced from $4000-7000 which is well within my budget. If you have any other suggestions let me know ;).

But just remember, I want Rear Wheel Drive and Manual. No Commonwhores or Falcons :naughty:

Photos of the said cars:

I completely get this... have had a go in an s13 and it was one of the funnest experiences i have had in a car :)
The RB engine is easier to get power out of, and can handles it better... so you can compete in more ie. drag, drift track
Have you had a look at 180sx with an s15 front conversion, that is the hottest thing ever

Drifto spec n/a s13's look a bit lame imo. Go the skyline.. that shape has a sort of classical appeal to it I think. I like the plans you have for the 'line better too :)

Yeah actually.. Didn't realize this was your first car.. Best thing I did was wait till I was off my Ps.. All my mates dumped heaps of money into they're p plater integras and wat not
while I saved.. Now they still have they're p plater cars three yrs on and my wrx ate them up standard, let alone modded..
Cheap, easy, reliable without being completely gay.. I'd rather drive a civic and then move up to something turbo than drive around an n/a supra, skyline, Silvia

True and probably lose your license in the mean time...

Get a shitter for the first year or two and save for something decent...dont waste your coin doing a shitter up ..thats what ya mates will do and when your driving past them in your WRX in 3 years time giving them the bird they will finally see what a mistake they have made

I'd go the r32 or try to get a sil80, for those who don't know what that is, s14 rear end with the s13 front end.

I would say get a SSS but they are so hard to find neat and not been thrashed! The sr20s are great, I've had head to head runs with stock r32's and silvias, goes hard!

Sil80= s13 front, 180sx rear
Onevia=180sx front, s13 rear
Strawberry face= s15 front, 180sx rear

Ca18>sr20... Stronger, can take more abuse, based off the Rb series :)

Yeah same, I had the same feeling about the R32. Its more refined than the Silvia. I'd rather a RB25 than a SR20 in RWD form to be honest.

Dont think SSS is an option :P I want a rear wheel drive car 8-) I'll be keeping the car for a long time (3 years+)

Im only a fan of Sil80's, I hate the others.

Hell no, a few of my friends have AE86's, it was a childhood dream of mine but nah. They are hella unreliable. My dad used to have a KE55 10 years ago.... same story....

Buddy, i know it's all about being cool with riceboxes in Sydney, but if you want to learn & have fun, buy a shitbox $500 datsun (RWD) & drive it like you stole it. Take it bush bashing, pull the handbrake on wet grass @ 100kp/h..etc

Do what real young men do..instead of driving pimped out shitboxes & parent funded euros & sipping coffee, talking about hard drives & slowly evolving into an outright wanker who cant even start a lawnmower without Google
