My kick-arse setup guaranteed to give many systems out there a good run for it's money

- awesome Pioneer deck
- stock GC8 speakers (front: OEM 6" splits, rear: OEM 6" 2-way)
- Pioneer 12" sub in custom enclosure I made
- Pioneer monoblock
- awesome tune by meeeeee

Don't believe me that stock GC8 speakers can sound good? I will be more than glad to show anyone that wants to have a listen

My setup only works well in GC as GC speakers are a shitload better than GD ones

either u've never turned it up loud enough or you dont know what good sound is  ...hahahahahha...oh owen in all honesty though subaru oem speakers are garbage...mums BOSE system in her RX8 is what i call a decent stock stereo or the blaupunkt system in my mates VW.

i replaced the speakers in my gc8 beacause they didnt cut the mustard, put some decent splits in and the difference was huge!

Franc, how the hell did you screw in the speakers onto the parcel shelf?
I've got a gaping hole the thing fits into now.. but no way to get the screws in to secure it
The glass gets in the way!

LoL I took the parcel off.
You need to snap off the sides where the seat belts go in.. to take that off you need to take the plastic bits on the edge of the door next to the seats.. that part is pretty simple.
Then the parcel tray pops off.. I took the seats off as well

Awesome, taking the parcel shelf off was easy :D

After cutting the left side parcel shelf hole, realised the hole on the right (the metal hole already there) was smaller than the left so freaked and and thought the speaker wouldnt fit in there :o
Ended up getting the speakers in fairly easily.. and the tweaters mounted. Now to wire them up and test them :D Looks pretty cool, cant wait to hear it!

LOL @ Pete... you need to listen to my system. You'll be shocked. Give me any mother fkn CD in any format - WAV, CDA, MP3, WMA, whatever you want. I can hear the difference in quality between a 256kbps 44.1kHz MP3 to a 192kbps 44.1kHz MP3. To the average listener, anything above 160kbps is technically not noticable. My system isn't anything special but it's the fact that I spent SFA and still have a blasting and clear sound system

i can tell the difference between all of those as well. I disagree that anything above 160kbps is not noticable. I spent many years djing and 160kbps to 320 or even 192 is a huge difference..maybe your speakers aren't reproducing as much as you think ;-)
