Hi all,
Recently got some mods installed and a tune done by MSR on a MY07 tuned by sti. The car was completely stock other then a genome sti diff back which i had removed as i was advised it was going to be a restriction by MSR and TurboXS.
The transformation is amazing. Full credit to Michael for such a great result.

Modifications:
VF43 turbo with wastegate ported by MSR
TurboXS TBE with MSR dump pipe splitter mod
MY07 sti TMIC & splitter with MSR y pipe splitter mod
Walbro fuel pump
Apexi flat panel filter
PSR silicon intake and SFB
Ecu reflash tune by MSR

FINAL RESULT: 207.2kw atw

Great result!

I dont see how the Genome would be a restriction at that level. Genomes have achieved up to at least 211kw on another members car.

I was told that going from 3" to 2.25" would be a restriction

Yes it would, but i didnt think it would be a huge restriction at those power levels?

Will be interesting when i get my TXS TBE, and i bolt my genome up to try it.

Have you got the oval TXS? What are your thoughts on its volume?

Michael was talking in the range of 15-20kw power difference with the genome bolted on.
I ended up with the TXS oval muffler without no resonator in the system and i find it loud. I'm considering a resonator as I've already had a small run in with HWP regarding the noise

2.25 step down is a big restriction when you compare the volume. I hardly see the point of running 3" into a genome back end.

Nice curve though 2.5L always has it's benifits

TXS had a look inside the genome and pretty much laughed at how small its internal is. Couldn't justify having a $700 restriction bolted up, even though i miss that roar

you should bolt the genome up, and get a power run on the dyno.. actually see what and where the difference is.

I actually thought about that, just need to find a workshop with the patience for it

TXS! they use North Shore Dyno's Dyno, which is literally 2m away from their shop. RIGHT next door.

I think its like $60 for a power run some one told me..

Im getting a TXS TBE soon, but am going to see if they can do this for me. Happy to pay for their time of coarse, but id love to see how the genome really effects a car with tuned VF35 (roughly 185kw atw i would imagine)

That's a good idea, I didnt think of TXS. They would be interested in figures also since it got him thinking when i decided to have the genome removed.

Sure did.. Its only the diffback though. Im getting full TBE at their sale price :D

- Not through TXS Directly. $1200 including hi-flow cat, extra resonator, and install. :D :D
Although TXS are installing it.
