I have a 2006 subaru with the ej20 im converting it from auto to manuel for obvious reasons and im just wondering if i can get a gearbox of an older model and does it have to be a ej20 or can i also fit the box out of a ej25 any help would be much appreciated

Im guessing your bell housing is a 8 bolt not a 4???
nearly all of them should bolt up as long as you get the same diff ratio as the rear diff.
the biggest problem will prob be getting the tail shaft and pedal box most prob.
