Spool up would be better with i went with the 264 cams, but i went for the 272 as i think they would be better suited to larger twist mounted turbos, pression 6262 maybe....

Yep its a daily driver, maybe one day ill get it strip

hey mate, i dont want to be smart but i want to qst somthing!
you where claiming 299kw@wheels on 24psi 2years ago and you bagged me for qsting it and ran into a shit fight . now before you had 2.5ltr with standed heads standed valves , 264cams and avo500hp turbo 24psi

now you just put in bigger pistons, o/s valves, tonyknight (king pin) port job, bigger 272cams and sr56turbo and 2psi more and your making 2kw more than 2 years ago on your old engine that went 299kw now with all those mods dont you think your car would have made more power if your OLD FIGURES WHERE CORRECT. :liar:

Can you explain to me how that all works im a little bit confuesd

seems alot of money to get 2kw in my books

now thats a more relistic figure its doin now with those mods not like 2years ago

cheers mate

Legitimate question Lee, the simple answer is the SR57 turbo is smaller than the AVO by about 20-30kw atw.
The old cams where also 270's not 264's
Also the old figure were backed up by runs on the Haltech dyno and on a dyno up in Newcastle (cant remember the workshop name) on a w3xn3t dyno day.

Engine was also re-done for future twist mount turbo ;)

Well back when i was just lookin at your old thred you had them down as 264's

alex use to tell me the sr56 spooled better and made same power as avo500.

what turbo you going to run as twist mount, dirty old 35r? you should try a gt35/66r with the 1.06 t3 rear

i got one for my new engine im doing for a street car. made decent numbers when i used it.

What does a twist mount set up have over any other setup? Any advantages?

yeah lots you dont have to run through a restrictive silicon pipe, you can fit a bigger housing turbo in there. plus i havent seen a strait bolt on turbo impress me yet. the dis of them are all shit imho. band-aids we call them.

SR56 does spool better but doesnt have quite the same top end as the AVO, exhaust housing is smaller on the APS

Ive been looking at the Precision 6262, based on the dirty GT35R but with a billet wheel on it. Seen some graphs on EVO's and they spool the same as the GT35 but with about 50hp more mid/top end. Theres a forester with one at Autotech thats running the engine in at the moment then its time to see what it can do!! Will wait to see the results of that car!
