Bored so going to write a product review of EBC REDSTUFF BRAKE PADS

purchased a set of EBC REDSTUFF. I've only ever had two pads on my car in my life, oem and redstuff. All i can say if i was to compare between the two is that redstuff is honestly fantastic. They are being paired up with DBA 4000 slotted rotors. Braking power is good, inital bite is good. I haven't tested stopping distance from any speed because they are like under a month old and I want to give them as much time before i start slamming on them.

From what I've read on the internet, EBC previous brake pads were...shit, so they underwent a change which involved changing their mangement and their formula for the pads. The pads are supposedly meant to be a minimum on dust, minimum on brake noise, and maximum on braking and life.

From my experience, this DOES NOT happen during in its bedding in period (which is suggested at 1600kms). Squeels moderately, dust is what OEM pads rack up in a week and a half, in a about 2 days.

After the bedding in period, normally i give my car a wash every week, but i got lazy this week and I had to study for my exams. Needless to say, the car hasnt been washed in about 2.5 weeks and my white rims are still white. You can start to see the dust form but the rim itself is still white and not grey, so thats a tick next to minimal dust.

These pads are meant to also provide excellent "race" braking at the minimal amount of squeel. This is actually true. Yes it does not squeel at all. However, take it out when its a cold night at 1am in the morning and these will squeel like craz. A good brake or two will heat up the pads enough so they do not squeel anymore.

Out of the four points that are addressed in the marketig aspec of the brake pad, I only have the experience to agree with 2/4 points made. I have not owned another set of aftermarket pads so I cannot compare them and I haven't had them long enough to determine the life expectancy of the brake pads.

But so far so good, can't complain, overall a great pad for everyday use. (haven't tracked them yet)

Noise 4.5 out of 5 (-0.5 because of the squeel when cold)
Braking 5 out of 5 (it gets 5 because its better than oem)
Dust 5 out of 5 (wayyy less dust than oem)
Value 5 out of 5 (APPARANTLY these last 3 years, i got mine for $200)

Dont use them on the track, they will fade, my reds will start to fade on the street when pushed hard enough and thats with the brembos.

Value for money they are great and have little dust, infact my rears with Ferodo DS2500 create more dust than the front EBC reds!!
Would buy again for street use
