Hey guys,

problems after problem with my car at the moment.

I have booked my car in to a mechanic tomorrow but just want a opinion or to see if anyone has experienced this problem before..

When im driving and slam the brakes on the front right brake locks up and stops as normal, as for the left side the brake does not sound like its engaging all the way and it feels like its metal on metal and the car jolts to the right. I recently changed the brakes to bendix ultimates and were working fine until now. Its pretty dangerous and if i was driving fast and slammed my brakes on the car would NOT stop in time of an accident.

I have checked the brake fluid, bled the brakes but this is still occuring. maybe ABS problem?

has anyone experienced this? Any help will be appreciated!
cheers

Just in general, the right brake actually stops, as for the left one it doesnt lock/stop at all. freaky as hell

So your right brake completely locks up..? As Hi Octane said, non of them should lock up and should give a 'shudder' feeling when heavily braking. Shudder is good, locking is bad.
The rotors have enough meat left?

You gotta pull off the wheel and look around

too many things that could be wrong unless we narrow it down

The discs do not need to be machined apparently, they were done about 15,000km ago. Like
when you out the brakes on it doesn't feel like it's going to stop and the peddle doesn't feel right. Lol I can't really explain though. I just don't want to spend a fortune tomorrow :(

Make sure the brakes are securely bolted in. When doing my bro's brakes, we didnt put them tight enough and they didn't brake properly and gave slight shudder. Might be similar?

I hope that's the case, but at the same time the place I'm taking it to doesn't charge me a fortune just to tighten them, even though they put them in, in the first place

Hey all,
dropped my car off at tunehouse this morning, my caliper was cracked, causing fluid to pour out of the piston every time causing the caliper not to work properly. I bought a pair of DBA Rotors and getting a whole brand new overhaul and new pads etc etc, very happy with the job. Will be ready tomorrow afternoon. The car will stop like crazy once they are fitted :) next thing is to get timing belt done and basic service then back to driving a
rexi the way it should be driven :p
