Hi Guys,

Am receiving my DEFI gauges in the mail this week - can't wait! Definitely want to save some cash though and install them myself. Have never done this before and have no idea how to go about it. Has anyone done this before? Will I get some decent instructions with the gauges in order to install them myself? Or is my best bet to pay someone else to do it?

Let me know!

Cheers,
Nick

Ah, my bad. Installing oil temp, oil pressure and water temp. I have a gauge pod and will be replacing the clock.

Its not difficult at all if the wires are long enough and you have all the equipment.
Are you going to use a oil filter adapter for those oil gauges?
Water temp going on a hose sensor?

Cool.
Once you receive the stuff, let us know what items you get and I can tell you if you need anything else and we'll take it from there.

^ Looks like he's got you covered mate. If it was volts, i could have done it during the stereo install! :D haha.

I guess not everyone is electronics orientated like me, volts is probably the last gauge you'd want on your list!

Whats the difference?
Isnt it just some wires going to some sensors?

Technically yes, provided you know the wiring of the car and sensors etc?

So ended up getting my mechanic to do the install for me. All went smoothly, although he wasn't sure where to connect the water temp sensor. It says to cut into the radiator hose but he was wary of doing that. Any suggestions of where the water temp sensor should go??

U can get a weld on bung fitted to your radiator tank or get one of these and place between ur radiator hoses:

Couldn't you wire it to the water temp sensor? :s
